The 2024-2033 Metropolitan Transportation Improvement Program (MTIP) identifies state and federally funded transportation investments within the New Bern Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) Area.
Amendment 10 includes adding and deleting various statewide bridge inspection, structure inventory and appraisal, and analysis. It also includes adding operational funding for Queen City Express, intermodal rail service between Wilmington and Charlotte, as well as an increase in operational funding for CARTS.
This Amendment will enable transportation projects to continue to move through the planning, design, right-of-way, and construction phases. Public comments will be received through October 3, 2024.
