US 70 James City Improvements Traffic Alert

The N.C. Department of Transportation will temporarily close West Grantham Road between Pickett Lane and Service Road 1153 starting Thursday night, September 22, at 11:00 PM until Friday morning, September 23, at 5:00 AM. This work is part of the U.S. 70 Improvements in James City Project. The detour is necessary to accommodate sewer line installation. Temporary signs will be in place to alert motorists of the road closure and the detour route. Motorists are reminded to reduce speeds and be attentive as they drive through the work zone.
